On 9 September, CR SWCS was invited to speak at the 91st Enhanced Continuing Professional Development Seminar for Governance Professionals, organised by the Beijing Representative Office of The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKCGI). The event attracted more than 100 representatives from listed companies, pre-IPO enterprises and professional institutions.

At the seminar, Charlene Kwong and Ruby Meng from the CR SWCS ESG team delivered a presentation entitled “Preparing for the Climate Disclosure Era: Key Considerations for Corporate Climate Reporting Readiness.” The session explored the latest developments under the ISSB Standards and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange's enhanced climate disclosure requirements.

Drawing on insights from the CR SWCS ESG Research Report, the speakers highlighted that companies should focus on strengthening board-level climate governance, climate risk assessment capabilities and greenhouse gas data management in order to meet increasingly stringent disclosure requirements.

During the event, CR SWCS also hosted a corporate services consultation booth, engaging with corporate representatives on topics including company secretarial services, corporate governance advisory and ESG solutions.
