Dr. Ngai Wai Fung is the Director and Group Chief Executive Officer of SWCS Corporate Services Group (Hong Kong) Limited. Dr. Ngai is a top-notch governance professional, a regular popular speaker on corporate governance and risk management subjects, and has been acting in the capacity of an independent non-executive director (“INED”) of reputable listed companies on HKEX and SSE, and a specifically selected candidate from the “talent pool” of SASAC of the State Council for an INED and an external director of state-owned companies.
Dr. Ngai is a member of the General Committee and the Chairman of Membership Services of the Sub-Committees of the Chamber of Hong Kong Listed Companies. Dr. Ngai was the President of the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries (currently known as The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute) (2014-2015), an unofficial member of Working Group on Professional Services under Economic Development Commission of HKSAR Government (2013-2018), a member of the Qualification and Examinations Board of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) (2013-2018) and the first batch of Finance Expert Consultants of Ministry of Finance of the People’s Republic of China (2016-2021).
Dr. Ngai obtained a Bachelor’s degree in law (honour), a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance, a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Doctorate in Economics (Finance).
